Great! They will probably be quiet in this weather, but still great to get started!

Keep an eye on them in this cold weather Thommo, I've seen a few people lose silvers just after transporting in the winter time. Do you have some salt in the system just in case?

I think I need to get a few IBC's or water tanks to store water in for the summer months. Will look into that soon.

Plants after 1 week with fish in the tanks. The fish are Silver Perch fry, smaller than fingerlings and not feeding yet, I suppose it is to cold for them. Haven't lost any yet so must be doing it right so far.

Had these delivered today for collecting and saving rain water for the summer. 3 delivered fully washed for $330, not a bad deal I thought, they had hand cleaner in them.

1 will go near the house to collect the water and 1 will go on the retained wall where the dead tree is in the next pic. The other 1 will end up as a grow bed or a fish tank as I am toying with idea of a separate system to have Barramundi in over the summer.

First dead fish today.
Don't ask about PH etc because I don't have a test kit yet.
So now I have salted my system to 1 to 3ppm.
The fish is a Silver Perch and I noticed it this afternoon, it felt a bit slimy to me, other than that I do not have a clue, this is all new to me.

The FT.

The GB's and FT.

One final shot. Veges not growing much because the Silver Perch are just Fry/Fingerling size and not eating.
Note the green IBC to go where that dead stump is for water during the summer to top of FT.
