Yes it is. You will have many more male blooms then you will female. Just make sure you keep an eye out for those female blooms and when you do get one that opens up, be sure to pick a male bloom and pollenate the female with it real good.

As for the lighting, I try to keep my time set to correspond to sunrise and sunset. Also keep your light source within about an inch or two of the top of your plants. The further it is from them, the less effective the light will be. The temp sound fine though!!

Got the Maxicrop with iron.... 1 oz pr gallon the directions say (for flowers)....
How do I use this in my system? 1 oz pr gallon poured into the growbed or into the fish tank or what? Is the 1 oz pr gallon appropriate?

Yeah... a "dollop"... half to one cupful per week (max)... straight into the fish tank, or sump...

I pour it straight above the pump when it's pumping... gets sucked straight into the beds...

If maxi crop is similar to season as a seaweed extract, 20mL in 1000L per week when the plants need it or once per week as a general pick-me-up, is ample.

thanks everybody.... I hope this will help my poor plants out.

Appreciate it. I did not know where to put it lol... I ended up putting it in the fish tank right over the
intake of the pump so it would mix but still take it right to the plants.

Have a great day everyone...

My 3 koi and my 2 comets are growing and healthy... I think I got that part worked out good. The comets grow slower than the koi do.... I have the koi nearly eating from my fingertips... it is cool.

YIKES...
Some of my plants were dying and the leaves were turning yellowish on the edges
so I added some maxicrop with iron....
well the plants that were dying died... I still have quite a few plants in there
but today when I took a reading it freaked me out a bit...

pH 7.6
ammonia 4.0
nitrite 5.0
nitrate 80
(no, not joking)

I will skip the food for the fish today
What now? Do I do anything and if so, what?
I was so steady with my numbers for a good little bit....
No dead fish
water is clear

Did the maxicrop do this? It was the only thing I changed.
