Hey Jessy, what type of dirt did you go for top soil? Is it a compost mix or something?

Hey Charlie,

It was ment to be mushroom mix, and vegie soil BUT they gave me horse shite and i think landscaping mix.

Too far away to return it ....

I bought the dirt from Amazon Soil / Rich Gro and got ripped off.

Midland soils next time for sure. :cheers:

the garden is growing great. being nearly a week away, all the beds need a massive top of water :thumbright: cool, so the system is working :flower:

I cleaned up the tomato's this afternoon....the crop is so so for up here. I found a few clusters of cherry tomatos on steroids. Wish they where all like that , the size of cumquots :flower:

i am going to save the seeds from that cherry tomato plant. If anyone would like some seeds feel free to PM me.

I bought one punnet of 8 seedlings and got three different variety's...go figure

Hi guys,this is my first message,so I would like to let you all know how I have been making my wicking beds.I have 300mm of water[in upside down flower crates,like milk crates only smaller in height,but longer and wider]Then geoteck covers crates and up sides,put in watering pipe to bottom through geoteck,drainage hole at top of crate level,put in 300mm of organic soil,and plant vegies.300mm of water easier than 300mm of rock.Cheers Chris.

picked a few radish, this is the final pick, probably all up 5 kg out of a packet of seed

Zucchini in full form and fruiting away, tatsoi ready to harvest.

In wicking pot construction later to day, will post photo's of the progress.
