If you saw the part one version of this, I made some corrections and finished the construction.

Nice work Dave, this is the exact same system i am currently building although i have a 3rd IBC to make my grow beds out of. I wanted to cut my tank lid out of the top of the tank and not the sides to give a little bit more support.

Anyways, thanks for the video mate, i was pondering a few things and watching your vid cleared it up for me.

If you haven't cut anything yet, then I'd be making the GB a little deeper than shown in the video (either this version or the earlier one), see : http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=338061#p338061 for more.

That was my plan by grabbing the third IBC. Gives me the luxury of having one full IBC to chop up to what ever size i want and lets me keep the FT IBC strength with the top edges in tact. Saw it in a DYI video the mrs found and thought it was a good idea. Plus i can get as many IBC's as i require which makes me nervous for the AP bug hitting once i have this one established... i only have so much space!!!!!

I agree! I meant to make my GB taller. I marked it but think after the medai and water spread it out my mark was off.

There are some numbers which have been crunched for a three IBC system with full size FT, three GBs and ST to maximize the volume of the GBs cognizant of the water required in the ST for a F&D system. Do a search if you need to find this design.
