 Thanks all, got little more done today. Am still waiting on the order of uniseals some time next week. I add it the drain for the fish tanks. Am still work out how strong the PVC frame will have to be to hold the weight of the two beds  . I reduce some weight from IBC bottom that will hold the beds. The tanks are little over half full so if it rains they don't move.

I don't believe pvc is going to be strong enough.

Here we have the filter pads that am using on the 2nd stage filter, 5lbs. carbon & 4 gallon of lave rock not in picture. From top to bottom - coarse pad, fine pad, carbon & at the bottom lave rock. The last picture is of the 7"x32" 200micron filter sock.

Welcome... I just read your thread and I did not notice that anyone told you about the FREE book called "IBC's of Aquaponics" It is shown on the front page of the website. Download it and read it. It has lots of information on Aquaponics and in my opinion it is the best. It also has the info on how many fish to use for your grow bed area and what fish tank volume needed. YOur pump should do wonderful. You need to circulate you fishtank volume once every hour. Your growbeds are filters and they contain the bio stuff that does the work of cleaning the water.

Looking great so far.

On the PVC, let's say you used a light media like hydroton. Depending on ur GB depth you will still be holding between 250-400 lt of water (250-400kg) in the growbeds.

Get 4 friends, put a thick board on ur PVC frame and stand on it. You'll soon find out if it is strong enough :P.
