Hi!
I'm new to aquaponics but I have jumped right in the deep end. This is an addicting hobby!

I live in a dry cabin, which mean I don't have any running water, makes things interesting.

The system sits in my living room and has a commanding presence.

My main FT is 150 gallons with an additonal 50 gallon tank piped into the main FT. I currently have about 45 White Nile Tilapia in my system.

I have 24 square feet of GB space and 24 feet of 4 inch NFT pipes which allows for an additional 20 plants. The GB's fill and drain about 3 times an hour. Before water enters the NFT pipes it goes through two 5 gallons swirl filters.

I use two 400 watt lights and I am considering putting them on a light mover.

There is about 240 gallons in the whole system under normal operation, I pump air at 70 LPM into the water and I keep the water at about 84 degrees F. This maintains my DO at about 70 percent saturation.

I have 5 strawberry towers that receive water for 10 minutes every 1 1/2 hours, this water drains directly into the duckweed tank.
I grow the duckweed to supplement the tilapia's Diet besides pellets and worms from my compost.

I look forward to hearing what you think. Feel free to question, critique or comment.
Cheers! :wave1:

Thanks! I'll get some pictures posted soon.

It's a cabin that does not have any running water. I haul all my water to my cabin in jugs. The best part about it is getting to use an outhouse everday. :thumbright:

See the latest "funny picture" thread in "General Banter." I'd rather have a redback.
