Welcome :wave1:

A Greenhouse is always good in my opinion, and in a cold winter climate even more so

How far North are you? IF you are anywhere near Harbin you may need the whole system indoors, or at least be able to move it indoors in winter (gets down to -30degC there!! broke my moustache from frost one year!!)

seems you know well about China,i am in south of Harbin, near Shenyang, in winter, it is extremly frozen here, -20degc is normally(it is a little warmer than harbin :D ).
these days, i am busy for picking up gravel beside a small river, as no extra money to buy expanded clay.
if possible, i think a greenhouse like below is a better choice.

Maybe it's because I'm just getting off night shift, but this was amazingly funny.

Thanks.

Anywho, malcolm welcome.

I am trying my fish tank indoors and making a small growbed greenhouse. May be an option for you.

A thermal green house like our friends in Central Europe do. Just do a search for them under aquaponics hungary and you should find out how to construct one
