any one seen this fake water cress going to seed / flower?

mine is.

i dumped a fair bit into a half blue barrel with some hyroton. It was taking over the bed but i didn't want to throw it out.

anyway, it was left to its own devices with no nutes, just some rotting weeds and a spray of water very now and then. will post a pic soon

Hey Steve,
I want some. Can I steal some of yours next weekend? I assume it grows from cuttings...if you don't have seed yet :)

Can the seed be eaten? What uses (other than propagation) does it have?
Mine is full of flower also.

Now that it is winter my watercress has come back to life and is growing really well. HOWEVER it doesn't taste very peppery. Can anyone shed some light on this DISASTER !!?? :D

PS Thought I would recycle this thread instead of starting another. Do the moderators prefer this or do they not care ? :)

maybe this is the answer here
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=226&hilit=watercress&start=15

That it gets "hotter" with age...

Let me know of your experience..

I've never had this version ever get peppery, it's more of a carroty sort of taste to it.. I'm assuming that you're using the "eastern block" watercress, rather than standard watercress..

I'm really not sure EB I was under the impression it was the standard stuff but only because I don't know about any others ! (or anything at all about watercress).

Thanks Charlie ;)
