well since my first set of NFT pipes are doing so well, I decided to put in a few more....

here is the new location for 4 new pipes, at the end of the FT... has more room there


reverse angle view - fill pipe will go on this end...


New set of brackets are needed for this set, to keep them as close to the wall as possible


Using a great toy.... scroll saw makes easy work out of the brackets


finished bracket... one down 11 more to go....


counter sinking so screws dont stick out....


drill pilot hole so the screw won't split the wood


all brackets cut and drilled


could make them into an art piece.....


now just need to get the pipes ready

I think it was the white tail board, very rare species...

And I always thought that a buck-board was a wagon. I must have been mis-informed.

made some progress yestereday..., would have posted, but net was down all day

got the pipes made and installed, got the feed line and drain line installed....

now just have to tie into the pump.....

will come back and cover the pipes so no one will trip over them...

well haste makes waste....

turned on the water flow to the new NFT pipes......

every connection out of the pipes leaked..... so I re-siliconed the connection...

now they dont leak

so slow down and do it right the first time

in the new NFT setup, it will be mostly herbs.... as we use a lot of them....

but I will be doing some swish chard, strawberries, peppers and whatever else I
can get to grow

quick update.....

I have been getting a little (fine particles) building up in the roots of the NFT pipes.....

I can see a small buildup in the bottom of the of the pipe......

this water is coming out of my ST.... there is so much water going back to the ST, that it keep everything stirred up

so I'm going to put in a swirl filter.... and see how that goes...

it will be a 6" (151mm) with the inlet about half way up the 24" (609mm) tall pipe and the outflow at the top.....

will post pics when I start on it..
