Hi Clay,

Welcome. :D

Molasses... that is worth remembering. I remember reading that silage is fermented corn stalks with molasses added. I wonder if sweet sorghum is as rich in iron as sugar cane. Sweet sorghum is like sugar cane but grown in temperate climates. Will try find out....

the RSG filters seem really cool. I think I will have to design one into my system I am getting ready to start. How is everyones results using them now that it has been a couple of years? Any positive results with adding in scrap metal?

It is something I like about this forum, as distinct from some others I belong to, that you can revive old threads. Others often give you the message that it is an expired or finished thread.

That's the thing with AP, the topic's never really finished even when it seems to be discussed to death. Someone might have a new spin, be coming at it from a different angle, different knowledge or different goal.

So, does anyone have any feedback on long term use of RSG filters, especially with iron?

I think Janet was the only one that experimented for any length of time... and she hasn't been active here for a while...

People do that, but it may not be very efficient/effective.
