Hey whats going on. My name is Brendan, 27 years old, born and raised in Nashville. My youth (which some will consider me to still be a part of ) was filled with fast cars, no worries of my carbon foot print, and a general lack of responsability when it came to what i was contributing towards: a general breakdown of Nature. I'm looking to be more eco friendly, and I wanna save some $$ in the process. Not to mention eating healthier food, and helping work towards self reliance. I've discovered Mike Oehlers underground house concept, and have adopted it as my "cabin" type. I have the perfect piece of property for this type of structure. I plan to use the top 2 tiers of my house as my underground greenhouse if you will. Being heated in the winter from the home connected to it below, as well as cooling in the summer in the same manner. I wont go into a bunch of details about the house, but i will share a few pictures of my ideas. Any input is much appreciated. I guess i'll start a thread about it in the appropriate area. I look forward to picking yalls brains and learning as much as I can about this way of growing food!

I have a basic schematic of how i want my house laid out. The top 2 levels will be 6' tall and 6' deep. As of right now im considering the fish on the top level, and using a ram pump to pump the water from the grow beds back to the tank. Any ideas on this?
