What is your configuration like? I have a 'backbone' of 16mm pipe with the air stones branching off where needed.

20mm backbone. 8 100mm round about 2m from air pump. Other 4 up to 6m away.

Well today I went to feed the fish and noticed the airstones were only trickling. 13 months after being brought one of the 2 non-return flappers on the diaphragm has failed.
That's twice as long as my original piston pump, but still not as long as I had hoped for.

Surprisingly I have no response to my email. Will chase them up today.

I may even send my two back to them with a 'nice' letter telling them they can keep them and point them to this thread.

My 4000's diaphragms also died after 6 months too. The Fish and Lily Farm in Swan Valley sell spares at $30 for 2, but they are a bit of a hike for me.

Does anyone else know where I can get spare diaphragms (especially in Perth)?

My Blagdon has been running for well over 12 months without a problem, and comes with a spare set of diaphrams in the box.

$30 is a rip off I've found them online for 2-5 pound. That said I am having trouble sourcing them in Australia or elsewhere for a reasonable postage cost.
Even an email to a couple suppliers of pondone products has been ignored.

Doesnt surprise me Privateer. I emailed them about my two packing it in and got no response.

I don't think they care about customer service. They already have our money.

Yea....I can vouch for a friend of mine, they are completely ignorant to customer concerns.

The two 4000's I have bought have crapped out well within their expiry date.

Never again.

Hi Arbe, Mine is the KA65 and think I paid $265, picked it up from his house (only 10k away).

Comes with a terrific manifold with individual taps for each line.

Will find extra info on his site. http://stores.ebay.com.au/macsaquariums ... 34.c0.m322

Hope this is a help for you.

I ended up buying a replacement diaphragm from Living Ponds in East Vic Park for about $15 for one. But after replacing the diaphragm, the airflow was crap - nowhere near the amount of volume it was before.

I won't be buying another PoneOne air pump again.

Been using these pumps from the start. I have one 65, one 50 and two 25L/min. Replaced the parts in one of the 25's after it filled with water but the others have been running no problems with 100mm stones pumping down to 1 metre with some.
