I've been waiting for these to ripen up... but didn't spot that the whole plant had snapped off....

Anyway... since I cut the bunch... they're ripeing up faster than I can eat them...

Might not look pretty.... and this one was a touch over ripe... but they taste as good as anything I've brought at the shop...

If you are coming this way or I am going your way I can get you one or two lady finger plants. If you wait a while I might even get you a Java sweet ,they don't do well here but they may do better at your place as it is warmer.

They look like ladyfingers to me,it is not uncommon for the bunch to break off.Sometimes when they get a novice to start picking bananas they say you hold the bunch while I cut it and then watch them and the bunch hit the ground. You can ripen a few at a time by putting them in a bag with apples as can be seen on my thread,(Don goes bananas down south.I have had more luck with cavandish but I will be supporting the bunchs in future.

if you've never tried cooking your banana's by smoking them, i highly recommend it!
brown sugar, cinnamon, cocunut, pineapples or apples,(peaches work too!)
good stuff

oh, and butter.. don't forget the butter..

another thing to try with a smoker and this recipe is to get a tube of "cinnamon rolls" and quarter each roll placing in the pan with the fruit

i have to fix my smoker... but i have so much stuff to do in the basement!
