Agreed TCL... Nate's towers are the only system that provides filtration... at a reasonable flow rate....

The rest of the systems require pre-filtration, and intermittant or drip watering.... or very slow flow rates...

I really need a quick fix, light weight, limited foot print filtration solution for my prototype system and if I can only run water through perlite at 15min on and 1.5-2hrs off then it doesnt really solve my filtration problem.

Mate nice thread revival, however these were not a huge success for me, maybe on a timed flow they would have been better but only as a suppliment to a well balanced (filtration) system not as additional filtration. Nates towers would be a better idea or just run some full IBC gravel beds like OBO
