Gadzooks! There's a thief on my property! I had 4 strawberry butts hanging on the plants this morning instead of strawberries. Time to build the shade/greenhouse.

Of course it is very appropriately used in the above context, obviously...

Oh, yes. Of course. Inappropriate Gadzooking, or any form of zooking for that matter, is reason for banishment from normal society. Of course normal isn't all that fun, sooooo Zuke 'em all!

Doing things out of order again, I finally painted the outside of the IBCs. Having an algae problem. I guess when I read about why you paint the outside of these translucent tanks, I was half asleep.

Why does that color look familiar?

Not alot of growth from the plants right now. pH is 8.4 I'm guessing because of the algae. Only thing growing are the grape tomatoes.

But I'm optimistic and put up the trellis for the tomato plants. Hopefully they'll be inspired.

Photoshop the algae out of my system please. :)
When you get closer, the cage has paint all over it. I thought about painting the cage white to match the Hen Barn, but then I realised that would be more work, so phbbbtt! not a chance.

Not AP related (yet), but so cool I had to share it. Plus, I'm a fan of all things Mickey...

After returning from vacation with no input into the system, I had some hungry fish and some sorry looking plants. I think I need more fish poo in my system, anyhow. Buy more fish!
I did score 12 sticks of 10' x 1/2" pvc pipe today for $5 on craigslist. So, a few handfuls of fittings from the hardware store and I can start experimenting with the step-airlift idea thats been rattling around in the back of my brain for awhile. To the drawing board!
