my fish are only prob 3-4 cm long but they dnt come to the top to feed but they seem ok is that a problem is it normal

Hard to tell - there's a 1,000 different reasons that fish don't feed at any particular time.

Do they usually get fed at the time?
What was the water temp?
Have you done any amm/nrite/nrate readings ? What were they ?
What time of day was it ?
Do they usually come up to feed ?
..........

Everybody on this forum is happy to help answer questions and give advice but you need to give
them some basic information to help them help you

ok thanks guys i will test the water again on the weekend and the temp etc last test the nitrates and other tests where algood usually feed them at night and early morning before i go to work and ive never seen them come to the top since i got them they seem very lively on the bottom and the plants are thriving, im only new to this so i am very grateful for the advice youve given so far on wat to look for and things to check :)

Seriously Dandy... Silver Perch will go completely off their feed if there's a barometric pressure fall... before a front arrives... or as a low developes...

This could happen this afternoon for instance...
