Hello everybody.
My name is Kevin Smit.
I'm a architecture engineering student with a passion for aquaponics.
I started a small aquaponics project in my house and keeping a video log of this system.
Im working on a Google linked webpage with dutch [*]translated information about aquaponics.

With my YouTube weblog and website i want to inform dutch people about the existentie of keeping
Aquaponics in à constant changing dutch climate! With heavy rainfalls, cold temperatures and very little sunlight...

I'm planning to make a backyard aquaponic in april with eatable fish.
I'm hoping this forum can give me tips and information about keeping and building aquaponics
In à colder climate

If you want to see and keep track of my indoor aquaponic, just search on:
Dutch aquaponics, indoor eb and flow system project 001

With kind regards,
Kevin Smit

Welcome to the forum Kevin, glad to see things are happening in Holland. I have a very close friend with the surname Smit and they have just returned from holidays in Holland. What a coincidence!

Welcome Kevin,
I remember getting sunburned in Rotterdam, so I guess you get more sunlight than England :)
Good luck with your system.
How about some pics :)

Goededag Kevin,

We've recently started the build of an IBC system, which will hopefully be operational comming season. To counter some of the harsher aspects of our interesting Dutch climate a greenhouse is being considered, possibly even with a rocket mass heater. But first things first, the hole for our sump tank did not get any deeper the last couple of days...

You can have a look at our plans in our thread: IBC AP virus struck Culemborg, the Netherlands!

If you need any assistance with the translation of English AP texts into -het Nederlands-, please let us know, we may just be willing to assist!

Hi Kevin

Very appropriate the Dutch using ebb and flow but where are the dykes?

Nice animation on your youtube. Explains things simply and succinctly.
