I've started listening to the Survivalist podcast and am enjoying the tips and tricks, but by no means do I think these multitude of conspiracies are true. I also am creeped out by my crazy neighbors carrying guns on their hips everywhere as if they will have to shoot something or someone at any minute, but hey, whatever...

this kinda stuff cracks me up.. it's all obama's fault, we have to take back our country (from what?)..

I think the fault lies with collusion between gov't and corporatism (definitely during Bush/Cheney's reign) and keeping the system rigged, about not doing enough to change things for the future.

Just in my adult lifetime it was Y2K then the Rapture then 9/11, (edit: forgot about the worst recession in 50 years, LOL - that too) which is now this Prepper fad. I guess the left and right ends both go off the grid, on left you get eco communes and on the right armed militia compounds. Communes didn't change the system, going off the grid into a survivalist bunker doesn't change the system. Things like McCain/Feingold and denying corporate personhood and eliminating SuperPACs will be more effective than hiding out in the woods.

No one said it was obama's fault, it is the fault of the 300 or so people in our government. It is all about government control and over stepping the constitution. And yes we need to take our country back, I took a oath when I joined the military to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Our greatest enemy right now are the politicians.

Very well said Dave. Were dealing with this whole Treyvon Martin case down here and things are extremely tense. You've got both sides stoking the fire and no one really caring about the repercussions of their actions. Al sharpton marching one day, the koran burning preacher marching the next. Im extremely sick or the polarization and how divided our country is becoming. Ive also never seen such disrespect for a sitting president in my life. I live in the south and hear it everyday. Obama is a socialist, Obama is against freedom, Obama is a muslim, Obama is not an american citizen, Obama eats kittens...it's just sick.

bet obamas glad the dinosaurs were killed a few million years ago or he would have got the blame for that as well

Obama is a POS that is to blame for a lot of stuff, from health care to the crazy debt. Of course the house and senate are also to blame. But he was the one pushing this crap. Liked it much better when he just voted present for everything.

Regarding the lead post on this thread. Lets throw some additional facts into the mix.

For those who don't wish to go to the thread, it points out that the proposed regulation (now withdrawn) explicitly exempted children working on their parents farms.

That would be right... a typical mis-information campaign...

Deliberately designed.... not to address the issue utself.... but intended to bring down the sitting government/president....

The same sort of campaign has been waged in the US, UK, Australia... and other places... ever since Blair, Bush, Howard etc... were removed from power....

A concerted deliberate blitzkrieg internet campaign....by fundamentalists, corporations... big business, banks... and the far right....

What? You mean to say they were only against child exploitation..?
