hi everyone. Dont know where to post this,but its important to me and many others so I thought I would put it out there.so I hope you will all take time out to pause tomorrow and think of the Men and Women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.

And dont forget about the many who did return but who's lives will never be the same.also spare a thought for the families and loved ones that have also suffered in different ways.

after my first dawn service I havent missed a single one. Very emotional. Ill be paying my respects in the morning and then celebrating our freedoms and what was fought for with family, friends, bbq and a coldie.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

HOWEVER
I think it is great that kids are involved in ANZAC day, to learn why we commemorate ANZAC day etc, but I dont believe that a dawn service is a place for 1&2 yo's. Every year i walk away from a service saying to my partner "the dawn service is no place for young children". I think including and educating children is vital to keeping the tradition going, but not before an age where they understand what is happening in front of them, including periods of silence. This is the reason why most major towns have an 11am service- to be a bit more family friendly. I realise that Im going to sound like a grump but I thought here was a good place for a vent.

On another note; my local service was great- an absolute testament to the organisers and servicemen involved.
