Are you refering to the calculator I am using or "calc's" in general? When you say 100 gallons and 25 lbs are you talking about hydroton still? Is it correct it would be more i media needed if it was gravel (less surface area)

So far 3 ratio's have been listed
40 lbs and 20 cubic feet (149 gallons = 375 lbs)
25 lb => 100 gallons (250 lbs gravel)
3 kg (6.6 lbs) => 100 kg (220 lbs or 88 gallons)

The first 2 are virtually the same and way beyond the third

Something didn't seem right to me, the expression of weight of fish per weight of growbed - it really should be weight of fish per volume of growbed.

3kg should be considered the maximum not the average.

bioguy. Whats up with your system??? is it working? or did you run into any problems?

I think coco coir "suck ups" nutrients way faster/further than it wicks water, That's why it works so well, once you don't rely on it as a means of the actual conversion processes. It would be interesting to get a update of your progress. As i think it would work quite well. I am doing something very similar.
Warning overly exaggerated numbers to emphasize a point (Why wicking coco is a good idea):

1)Water would be wicked 8 inches up the pot to reach the roots in 1 hour
2)The nutrients in the water reach the plant roots in 5 mins

So as water is passing through the bottom 2 inches of pot, it is getting cleaned at the same rate as if it were going through a whole grow bed of hydroton.
