Cowshit cleaning is that you add some, and a bubbler, and let it brew. The resultant bacteria do the cleaning for you. Don't know that you should cycle this in your plants though, it will clean your IBC/s.

Me well qualified buddy puts rare fish in barrels cleaned like this, he's a marine biologist and totally for the cause, I'd trust the info.

Wont be long mate, you'll be wowing us all with your brilliant set-up again.

And we all learned something, bloody hard lesson for you though.

F&F, re the worm farm leachate....... did some research on the net for you last night. The camp is split 50/50. half say DONT USE IT! half say it great.

Its distinctly different form worm tea (which is made my soaking finnished worm castings in water)

Maybe hold off on using it, with your luck and the meet so close it may be a disaster!!!

Main thing at the moment is DO NOT LET THE BEDS DRY OUT!!!

The bac may still be viable, if the beds dry out they're done for!

Seasol is a good "perk up" for the plants as it contains minerals and lots of un-known biuo goddies, but no N or P, just K. The plants will be fine in my opinion over the few days with no fish, just keep your system going with just water.

Any Q's please ask ;)

If you do the cowshit thing F&F, somehow collect some of the methane to play around with. Collect it in balloons, light them up when you need help, Steve will be there in a flash!!! BANG!!! Steve: "What was that?"

Do air stones take in contaminants? They are porous by nature. Are they the same ones you had in the previous setup?
