Yep can vouch for that. I went away for the weekend and my gel electrode decided it needed a holiday as well. It just dosed the tank continually for a whole day. Came home fish gasping for air and ph at 6.2.

Nah your right faye. I should have elaborated. I was refering to my tropical fish tank not ap.

Dupla makes them. It just measures ph.

it talks to a controller with user defined set points and calibration settings.it has a relay that activates a solenoid which in turn allows co2 through a regulator and needle valve. Then through a bubble counter and a hermeticaly sealed reactor to dose the water. It keeps ph at a constant user set value and co2 around 20- 30ppm, depending on what buffers are in the water.

You can actually see the plants pearling.(bubbling off oxygen) as it photosynthesises(spelling?) And awesome growth rate...its the only way to get delicate plants to grow in a planted out tropical community tank. Hope this kinda explains it. I was more refering to the relationship between co2 and ph.
