Here are few pictures of a minnow trap I made from a cricet bait container. It is ugly, but it works like a charm.
I used a bit of screen material to make the trap door and used stapler to hold it together. Then I placed three pieces od wire around it to hold it in place.
The baiter is also a piece of screen material that holds a piece of bread inside of it.

Thanks Charlie.
I do like crawfish, and have made trap for them too.
Here in North Carolina and South Carolina costal water ways, we do catch crabs wiith friends. Oh boy, they sure are good eating.
Also do shrimping with nets. I am not good net caster, but still sometimes I get bunch with each bad cast! Sure do love to eat those shrimps.

Next week, my fingerlings Tilapia will arrive.
I was told that the water temp should be between 78 to 82 F degrees. Right now it is at 61F
Have to do something about it over this weekend. Have a plan already. Will connect 3 of 100 ft black color hose together, and lay them on top of the roof. Circulate water from FT through them.
Just need it to be sunny over the weekend!!

Last Sunday, I dropped bunch of seeds inside grew beds one and two. GB1 is leaking, so I got a big task at hand to get all the damned river rocks off and see what the issue might be. I am assuming it is around the syphon, but the water is coming out from the left middle side of it. It sure is a big pain!!

But the good news is that, I saw growth on the GB2. They were about 2 inches long. If I am not mistaken, they might be popeye the sailer man's speacial vegies.

ralath

I got them from White Brooks Tilapia Farm. They have Military discount too.

I decided to go with blue ones due to the fact of water heater costs. I still have to use water heater every now and then.

Waiting here for Fedex man to bring in the fish container. They over nighted it and sent me a notification that I have to be home to sign for it.

Anyway, I went and placed a light over the containment I had made for fingerlings. I turned the light on, and saw bunch of small black dots under neath it. Closer look got me so happy that my farts smelled like orange blossom for at least 10 minutes! It sure was nice to feel like a kid again, and get happy for smallest things in life!!
I got bunch of baby minnows in there. So, the tilapia fingerlings got some feresh baby minnows to munch on. They are about 1/8 of an inch. The black dots are they eyes. I tried to get a picture fo them, but I do not have a macro lense, so, just use your imagination here.

As of this morning, they are all alive and well. The caged screen is working fine for them.

After almost two weeks, all Tilapia are good to go. The growth rate is just unbelievable! They have grown at leat twice as much in length, and more that that in width.
They are just some eating machines. They attack food all at the same time. Kind of fun watching them doing that.

So,
As long as there is no Nitrate, that means the bio river rock filter is not activated yet?
Fish tank is holding over 1700 galons of water.

PH is about 7.2
Aminia 2

And the rest seams to be zero.

This is after 5 weeks.
