BK, they'd still be used in the newer printers / combos, to drive the print head / scanner head?

Way ahead of you guys... I have pulled apart some old scanners to other day... some nice DC steppers. Have to find a use for them now. Got about 6 or 7 of them. I want to turn them into linear actuators for my solar panel tracker.

I have some monsters here (210 oz) here for my half built CNC machine...

I just wanted to see a lagoon. Now I am SOOO confused.....

I must make a growbed intake switcher with no mechanical parts for we mortals who are as confounded by Les and his antics as I am.

Gimme six months I must bribe the hydro dynamics guys to throw a few hints my way.

Over the past couple of weeks (since moving SP to new system) I have been slowly heading towards HSM  .

My fish have not been feeding, I had checked all the normal things:
PH 7.4 - new system so normal (had gradually acclimatised the fish before moving to higher PH)
ammonia 0, nitrites 0 and nitrates ~120 - so all okay there
temperature 26-28C - tick

Stood down from HSM  today, the problem was the fish don't like seeing me towering over the tank - threw in a handful of pellets and closed the cover, minute later lifted the lid and all pellets gone :sunny: , put lettuce leaves in or Azolla - kinda disappeared (Les now happy little vegemite)

Gee this AP thing is fun :rr:

I don't know if others who have submerged tanks are experiencing the same?

They don't like you above them allright. I'm thinking it's instinctual - bird predators. Maybe if you disguised your beak....

Yeah thanks - believe you are right in bringing out their hiding instinct, thought starvation would breed it out of them, they obviously have more patience than me (oh no! - the "P" word  )
