Hello all! I recently bought a 55 gallon tank off craigslist and plan on building a small setup in my bedroom. Hopefully I'll get it up and running soon and will be able to use it to convince a local community garden to let me build a larger one in their space. I'm really excited to be a part of something that I feel addresses a vast number of problems and crises that our society is facing and I would love to connect with others in the NYC area. I can't wait to learn about and help develop this great system!

Good luck with the system BG... Any plans on how you are going to set it up?

I'm still busy learning about all the various methods and their advantages/disadvantages, but I'm leaning towards a constant flow with a vertical grow bed where I'll be trying to grow strawberries. I live in a 200 square foot studio, and so I need to make good use of the limited space that I have.

Be carefull I just built a fish tank set up... you will probablly get some spillage be ready for that... especially if your renting....
