I've heard for years about how fast radishes germinate. But 2 days?
I scattered the seeds last Sunday, these pics were taken on Wednesday.

I put the babies in the big tank today. They range in size from 2cm (so tiny) up to 8cm long (and about 3cm deep)

Here they are exploring the new digs. Up the back, behind the overly curious big kids ;)

We also changed over the rack that supports the little growbed on the quarantine tank.

A couple of weeks ago we re-plumbed all the delivery system to the growbeds. It's working really well. I also put a blue drum under each bed for duck weed and azolla growing. The light is a bit low, but they are ticking along nicely.

Hi Jamie, do you put your baby fish in with your big fish when they reach a specific size. Is that correct? because i would have thought the big ones would eat the small ones. :dontknow:

Jade perch don't eat the babies. Feeding time this afternoon was possibly a big learning experience for the babies. There are about 70 big fish and 325 babies. The big kids barge all over the joint for food, the littlies will have to compete.

There was no specific size, just a 2 week quarantine after they arrived here.
