But i know how oyu feel, is worse the bigger they get! I was shattered for 2 or 3 days when my 22 LARGE perch all died due to power out.

F&F Very sorry to hear about the deaths i have lost 6 redfin to unknown supprises. but the rest are looking great it is the bigest thing that worries me about ap sysems ,being in a hot house you have to put up with all sorts of insects with out spraying with any thing, even pyrethiem will kill fish. hope this helps. that is why i caught redfin and yabbies so i am not much out of pocket if things dont go right.but you never know.

That sucks man. Looks like you know the cause though. We all have these set-backs and they only make us stronger.

I feel for your loss  , this for me highlights the need for all of us to aviod chemical herbicides and pesticides where ever we can. I know you can bounce back...

the following rant in small not to take away from my main msg...

I saw 'Round-up biactive' in m10 the other day, what a bloody joke! It is still 360mg/l glysophate, but just gives people the impression you can spray it anywhere. I also recently had a lecturer at uni (conservation land management) condone spraying weedy aquatic species with chemical, saying that it is widely practiced in DSE for treatment of certian species!

We need a more softly, softly approach, there is no quick fix, and weeds and pests are only that in our minds (they are native to the world - I equate our influence on species distribution to that of birds, the ocean, soil, and inscets carriers, whether it is done deliberatly or not, it is all in ultimate ignorance of the path of chaos).

Bet those beers tasted nice, what bothers me is that I haven't had any major hiccups and the longer it takes to hit the worse its gonna be.

All you can do is take one step at a time :thumbleft:

BTW F&F, the hardest thing is always putting the infrastructure together. You have all this and do not need to do it again. ALthough it is very disappointing, you will be up and going again in no time.
