I did this last year and had great success with everything except for the pepper plants. Every single one of the Anaheim Chili plants failed. My technique was pretty straightforward, I washed off the dirt from the roots and stuck the plants in the hydroton in my growbeds.

This time around I'm going to try just sticking the entire plant, dirt and all (for the pepper plants since I didn't have any problems washing off any of the other types of plants).

I was just wondering if you guys knew whether or not strawberries were as sensitive. I didn't plant any strawberries last season so I don't have any experience with them but I basically went nuts this time around and bought a dozen strawberry plants to transplant. I'm scared I'm going to kill them like I did the pepper plants last year. If you guys have any experience transplanting strawberry plants from soil to AP systems please give me some tips! Otherwise wish me luck!

No problem with strawberries in that sens but a bit sensitive to salt.
