That's some serious filtration... by a serious koi keeper...

But most of them are.. and filtration is the name of the game...

A lot of the Koi guys were so enamoured by the Bakki shower that they stripped out a lot of other filtration...

I take it that this bloke is running the Bakki principally for "denitrification"...

I think so..

solids removal via Cetus Sieves
Beads for ammonia cycle..
Same as the showers..
Those showers are actually Birdman Large Showers..

I think at a rough estimate.. Just the filtration is about 30K+
And you should see the veiw out of the lounge window off the small Patio.. Just spectacular..

Juergen

I know some of you find these teasers agonizing, but here's the next one! Don't worry, the project is almost done and I won't torture you with these videos anymore!

Yeah, that's me. My wife calls it the oompa-loompa suit.

Were you renting the spraying equipment? I'm wondering if this is a viable option in terms of cost and difficulty for someone with zero experience (compared to just installing regular insulation). I can see where in your case it saved you hours of fitting insulation.

I've never done it before and it was easy. The problem is that it's VERY expensive. Each set of tanks is about $600 and will cover around 200 square feet in 1-2" of foam. however, if fits in weird spaces and seals up any air leaks. In the walls in the shed area where the studs are 16", I put in 1" of foam and will put rockwool in the rest, just to save a few bucks. I bought mine from http://www.sprayfoamdirect.com.

Rob,
Really like watching yr videos and appreciate all the updates too -- edutainment / or obsessive hobbyist fascination.
Just spent a couple of days going over Todd Huffman's Colorado project (thanks Juergen for the link). It's pretty all-involved/ing too.
My aquaponics venture is still very much in its infancy, and I saw yr geodesic dome on YouTube a while ago before I started and it inspired me to keep going. One of the things I like most is seeing your plans being put into action.
Thanks fr posting
