My big pond power supply was scolded at by a sparky I had do our kitchen... Apparently, depth of water and surface area of water have some bearing over power socket placement... so at 6'10" deep and a surface area of nearly 6sqm.... the power outlet should be either in my roof over my kitchen OR in the carport the other side of the fence.
I like playing with the power... and the water... I did the gas for our kitchen too...
and you know how many times I have been shocked, drowned or gassed... none! (does 1 shock count.. I learnt from it so surely its training) I wired up my up and down lights last week out the front...
Sparky: "yeah mate could do it for ya' in the next coupla weeks for about $550incl"
Me: any sooner than that for cash and a cash price?
Sparky: "yeah mate, can do it this week for $500 cash"
Me: thanks thats great. I'll get back to you...

Look I'm not sure of the reg's in WA..

They are trying to simplify them and make them nationally across the board..
A sparky from Vic Can't work in WA unless they sit the test in WA.. Even thought we have the hardest Exam's in Australia..

With regard to your AP set-up Run 2 circuits to the pond..
One for the pump..
One for the air system../Backup..

Also you can make it cheaper for your self if you run the cables to where they need to go..
If you are going to get it down see what needs to be down..
