Hi guys,
Anyone can recommend a electrition to install some outdoor electrical outlets for my aquaponics?

Do it Thai style, run an extension lead and put a plastic bag over it

you could do the grunt work yourself , dig trench , cut a wall whatever then should only take a short time for the sparky to wire things up.

Cheap Electrician!... an oxymoron if ever I've heard one!

Thats what I did
Had several inches of rain too and the plug still stays dry
Biggest risk is the lawn mower hitting the lead...

lol. It's only 240v and with RCDs and such you can't usually get much worse than a bit of kick
I will get a Jaycar box with a few cable glands eventually. Best way would be to mount a terminal block in the box and cut the plugs off, much neater and smaller. Just match the colours up

2 years ago I picked up an extension lead that had been damaged.
The ground was wet and I had no shoes on.
I've had plenty of shocks from mains in my job, but this was scary, I couldn't let go of the cable, muscle spasms and all that.
The live wire burned a 5mm hole in my thumb.
Thankfully the spasms shook the cable loose, or I probably wouldn't be here now.
It was nasty.

no RCD or earth leakage ?

My right hand closed over it and I couldn't let go, my whole right arm was locked rigid, my reaction was to rip the cord from my hand with my left arm and throw it. Was in an old busted house with wire fuses and not protection devices at all. Technology sure makes our lives better and safer
Don't know what would have happend if both arms were getting zapped...try to fall backwards ?
this was inside, concrete floor. I think the current path was just through my hand..
