Got three systems Freo. This one has had these fish in for 12months. The new system is on peeponics waiting for the weather to warm up. The greenhouse system has 4 goldfish, 2 catfish, 3 silvers and one bass LOL

Got a stiff broom in the tank and cleaned off the riser tube where the water and solids get sucked out , and turned the pump to full throttle for a couple of hours and nearly all the floating crap got sucked out. I think the holes in the riser tube were blocked up a bit with algae
That was yesterday and today the tank heated up to 15 and I threw in a few 6mm pellets to see if they were hungry, and they dissapeared quick time. So three more small handfuls later they had there fill. Wahoo, hope this is going to keep up and I might start seeing some plant growth. Even the yabbies in the sump were on the move
:D

Sounds like you have the timing worked out well. You will love the trout, they are so much fun to feed.
