Hey......how are our Victorian mates getting on.

Any dramas arising out of the power blackouts? I've heard that they persisted for up to 8 hours in parts.

and there's still no reply from any Victorians. Maybe the power isn't back on yet?

I had a short powerout for 30 min yesterday. My system isn't build yet so no biggy!

Also I think this was storm related not from fires. Someone in the east of the state might be able to inform.

THe bush fires burnt the link between NSW ( SnowyMountain Hydro) and Vic. THe Vic supply group had to unload a major area to protect the infrastructure from meltdown, the largest load area was Melbourne so supply was cut. I was informed that even if they cut Ballarat Bendigo and Geelong not enough load would have been shed to protect Victoria's exsiting power generating plants from major damage.
