Still waiting for the stuff to turn up for the expansion.
The existing system ticks along nicely though.
After the Tilapia river water disaster, I added some more, probably too many for the current tank sizes, but they are still small so I'm not too worried.
There will be another 800L FT online soon.

Tomatoes looking great, slow to start but I think NO3 is picking up nicely now.

Spring Onions (ต้นหอม) in the raft.
These seem to do really well in the raft, that's why there is only 1 left, we keep eating them.
Must get round to putting more in :)

The hydro shop I got the raft from didn't have any baskets or anything like that, hard to believe, but true.
The stuff in the raft was germinated elsewhere and transplanted when big enough.
The plants just dangle through the holes.
I modified part of the raft so that I could put plastic beer mugs in it, filled with coir dust, but that seems to get too wet for most plants, still experimenting.

Tomatoes looking really good, the dirt ones were much quicker to get started, some of them have fruited already, but these look much healthier, thicker stems, healthier leaves.

And the Thai Melon, think I may have planted them slightly too close together ;)

Those look like you will need a few friends to move them. How much do they weight?

A lot!
The ones with the bases are a struggle for 2 people to lift, but they can be rolled into place.
I put the PVC connector in one, before I considered moving it.
Will place the others before doing that again, Doh!

I was rummaging in my box of electronic bits the other day and found some ADXL202's and an ADXL05, static accelerometers.
Or, in English, super accurate Water Level sensors :)
I'll probably start a separate thread for the development of that.
IMO water level is probably the most important thing to monitor (at hobby level anyway)

nice find. So you thinking of embedding it into a pivoting float of some sort ?
And yes, I agree

Exactly.
It also has some other possibilities.
When the pump is pumping, the surface of the water will be "noisy" so it can be used to tell whether the pump has failed too.
If the water pump was off, but the air pump on, it would be able to detect if the air pump was working too.
Hmmmm, tomorrow's choices.
Banging holes in concrete or playing with accelerometers....

Get your GBs sorted out first ;)
Then play with electronics... You can do that when it's all cycling :)
