How did the plaster pump work out for you?

Have only just had a little play. Dad borrowed the air compressor and then disappeared to the coast for a couple of months. Works great, going to try raised beds before I start spraying anything that sits still long enough for me to plaster. :D

Rup, I was surprised to see the little fellows swimming around. Any cod in the system would be too young to breed and the goldfish are orange. We have had a lot of rain this year, so a lot of fresh water. Downpours can dump 10000ltrs into the pool in a few hrs. I'll try and catch one if they make it now they are in with the rest of the fish.:shark:

Out this way it doesn't like the sun, so it gets burnt back in summer. But the fastest I've had it growing was in pots of worm castings. It still got hammered in summer but it grew more than all of the other dragon fruits plants combined.

Just spent the day putting up new gutters for the shop. Should of taken a couple of hrs but ended up taking all day. Gutters were rolled wrong so I had to customize them.

Haven't even had a look at the flood water yet.

I've been searching like a madman but no luck. Rupe posted and video of dufflights ABF elsewhere viewtopic.php?t=8505#p252568 with what looks like home made poly pipe noodles churning around in it. I was trying to find the details of the filter in your thread but no luck.

As much as I would love to read duffs thread from start to end, it ain't happening anytime soon. Could someone else please help me out here if they know where the info starts.

Um... Probably not the same filter that I'm thinking of. The one I'm talking about is an airlift/rolling media biofilter. People use k1 in them but k1 is expensive. Duff used something else? The cool thing about them is you can build one inside your tank or sump pretty much by sticking the media inside a piece of 90mm pipe standing on the bottom and putting an airstone inside it. The air stone rolls the media around.
