Hi all looking at setting up our own IBC system sometime soon, just doing some research as its one extreme to the other out here. Hubby works on the mines, and I am a stay at home mum with our 14 month old daughter. Cant wait to get started, but have to wait for our next trip to Perth to get a few things. Any tips hints etc would be great before we start.

thanks
Bree

Hi Bree and welcome to the forum. You could start by downloading the free IBC of aquaponics from the home page of the website it will give you a good start. I think you may be the first from Leinster woohoo!

It will work fine in Leinster. Keep your system under shadecloth for summer and grow silver perch, then remove the shade and grow some trout for winter.

Mostly everything you need, you can get online.

You'll get used to the sleepless nights, it is part of the disease. You will probably wake up thinking about pipe fittings, new ideas for fish tanks, designs etc. This is a 24/7 support line so we'll be here for you :support: You are one of us now!

Hi Bree and welcome. Are you thinking of a system with one fish tank or two. If using IBC's the system designs are endless. You should be able to find one that suits your needs and whatever space you have in the IBC manual.
