Interesting observation in my community tank just then as the fish are now feeding on the floating skrettings even with the lid up. I noticed the tandanus cats hoovering the surface picking up pellets. Thought they were only bottom feeders but obviously not :)

Yeah I wondered what was mouthing their way through the food when they would only hit the surface with the lid down. I could see something doing it through the crack under the lid. The big silvers hit the food like mad trout, splashing so much that water drips out of the tank all around it. Two more months and some silvers will get a taste test from me :D

Water temp in the big tank 32C and the silvers and catfish are hungry. This also shows the catfish feeding at the surface

Added two more 160L black tub growbeds the the greenhouse system over the last few days. Had problems with leaky bulkhead fittings but seems all good now.
So now the system is 500L fish tank and 960L of CF growbeds. System will have a lot more water in it now after adding new beds and converting the other beds to CF. Hoping to be able to pump more food into the Jades now, as they want it :D
Clay for the beds

Setup to run rinse water out to the garden. The canna clay only needs one or two rinses :)

Here they are, on the other side of the greenhouse from the fish tank. Took a bit of imaginative plumbing to get the water back to the fish tank
