Ok, here is a strange 'illness' ...anybody have any idea what is wrong with this fish? Pretty sure he is a male, my biggest, I saw him doing the kissing thing with one of the other fish maybe yesterday, and then today I noticed his mouth was all flat/messed up like this? It seems to function ok, and he can eat and stuff, but anyone ever seen this?

Mich Jagger syndrome!...

All you can do is give him copious amounts of drugs, a steady supply of females, and stroke his ego continuously... :D

On a serious note, I have a Murray cod that "dislocated" her mouth (for want of a better description), but within a few days it went back to normal... that's all I can offer. :dontknow:

Also, not mouth brooding, as someone else asked elsewhere.

The interesting thing though is the fish seems unfazed by this, seems to be acting perfectly normal otherwise.

I had one very similar a while back, these had been making babies all the time. Janet Hesselberth would know if this is what their mouths look like as she was breeding them back then.

Edit: Information from the high school science teacher back then was that all my fish were males, so this may be very similar to yours gtmylo.
