Yeah I thought air too... But I have a 4 outlet with 4 fist size stones going flat out...

Wouldnt the 02 affect the goldies tho.

Considering I have quite an eventless run with my first system other than leaving the hose in for 2 hours and my ph sitting around 7.1. This came as quite the surprise...
I will now however, move the goldfish to my other system, harvest whats good, move my beds put in a bigger sump and add 2 more beds. I might insulate the tank too for good measure.

Goldies will tolerate lower DO better than other fish...

You say harvest "what's good"... having lost 10 x 400gm (and some small ones)... how many do you have left??...

Perhaps come contamination that the silver perch are more susceptible to than the goldies?

That's more than enough air going in, even at these temps. We still have two trout going in the IBC system, even though yesterday it got to 28 in their water...

everyone that does ap knows theres chances of these things happening and I have had no real issues previously so it was,a surprise but on a positive its allowed me to look at my systems shortfalls and now I have the tank basically empty I can spend some time making improvements and attempt to make it bulletproof ( as best I can). I have a smaller system running beautifully so I still have something to admire while I spend the next month or 2 building....

Or attempting to get the mrs to let my buy a byap system, hehe

Good chance you might get those trout through EB.
