Here are some quick drawings i did of the system I am thinking about, basically a FT that feeds into the GB then to a ST back to FT.
All comments welcome.

yeah im with Goro, the water is already nice and clean out of you GB's mate, might as well go straight back into FT, or you could incorporate your St as a fingerling tank, should be fine as long as you could keep the water level up and add some more airation?

what are the sizes of your GB's and ST?

Will probably use from GB from BYA x2 which is 1000l, or could go for IBC x 4 GB, which if cut 300mm x 1000mm x 1000 mm would be approx 1200l

Not sure about the ST or even if I need one like Goro said.

Hey Thommo... Yes, I'd say, can the sump tank, you don't need that at all, straight back to the fish tank saves you a lot of mucking around..

How about swapping the FT and the ST so you are pumping from the sump, draining the GBs into the FT which overflows back into the ST so your FT is always full? Could that give you the scope to run a few marron or another fish species in the ST?
