That's great, many 30yr olds would be horrified about killing an animal... as they eat their fish and chips....

Yeah, my son's where not happy about washing 2 truck loads of gravel.

It is character building Helomech, :) hey, if you don't teach them the facts of life , who will!
I made each of my children build a small gravel rock wall, our youngest (daughter) was first to tackle the project and 8 years on they still recall their involvement. :dontknow: Aah memories!

Yes in deed. My kids are required to do lots of chores around the property. But I have to admit cleaning these rocks really sucked. Going to get something to speed up the process for the real grow beds.

He shot them he cleans them. I think he started cleaning game at about 6 years old. Didn't want him using a knife much before that.

You are never too old to cut yourself with a knife ;)
I have many years of scars (nothing too serious) to show off my poor knife handling habits :D

Wow! How big is that rabbit?

My son likes rabbit but he (and my husband) leave the property when any killing needs to get done.

It is a pretty small rabbit that he killed on my property. The wild ones don't get very big where I live, maybe a couple pounds.

Yeah, me too. Wife would have not been happy if I had let her little baby get cut. So I waited till he was about 6.

I am offshore right now, but my wife sent me some pictures. I planted seeds on Tuesday afternoon, and got my first sprouts today.

Excellent. :)

Yes indeed. This is the awe inspiring time; watching those seeds sprout faster then you would have ever expected. It builds you up for big things to come, and "plants" images in your head of kitchen benches full of veggies..........just wait 8 weeks for the nutrient deficiencies, insects, and fish population wipe outs....thats the stuff that takes the wind outta ur sails and brings you back to terra firma :(
