No i dont think so i use a drip system filter, you have to clean it out now and then.the mark 3 smart valve is very simple and doesnt give any trouble.very easy to clean.

The smartvalve outlet hole is pretty big - I'd be guessing 3mm diameter (i.e. larger than the tube connectors on the way).

I suspect that with a relatively coarse filter on the pump/gravity intake you won't have any blocking problems. Alternatively, I have a self-cleaning filter design which will avoid this problem. Finally, the flow rate is very low, so a simple settling tank would probably suffice to remove any problem particles.

The bio-film will easily clog 3mm. Sorry to rain on the idea. But it clogs lots of stuff i don't even bother to silicon grommets etc just let the bio-film seal it for me.

I'd considered that myself Jaymie.

I have a lady friend of 6 years. Tis a tragic story in that we only hook up once a year her being an offshore star and I the humble kiwi who met and convinced her of her star quality. Many awards and book deals and now movie deals later...

Should've shut up and just married her.

Let em shine!
