some of them are nice and give credit and even a link back. hydroponic doctor looks like a scammer and ecosteps might be a con artist.

hydro doctor has pics saying hydroponic and aquaponic over pics of some pvc with what looks like aeroponic mist coming out. But most of his pics all come from here or UVI it seems except a few of a shed getting built

If you have a couple of minutes, please visit this guys youtube site and give him a thumbs down. Multiple videos made purely using stolen images, selling the AP4U manual again... None of my images, but he's used my brothers from Ireland and many other people, so I can't legally complain... But I can give thumbs down and bad comments... :D

Just go to each of the 16 vids for this slime ball and hit the thumbs down button. Only takes a couple of minutes.

Here's another doozey... a bloke that's

Spent the last couple of years working at a "mobile pool and spa servicing" company... "learning everything there is to know about pumps, filters & water chemistry"
Worked in a nursery for 6 years, studied horticulture for 3...
Has university level biology, chemistry, & physics...
Been a chef for many years, in fine dining international restaurants...
Worked as a Hot-tub repairman, swimming pool technician..
    Bartender, barista coffee roaster...
    Landscaper...
    Amongst other things...
And has "the only certification available in Aquaponics outside of the Virgin Islands, a Certificate in Aquaponics from Curtin University"....

... and built a couple of aquaponic systems a couple of months ago...

Here's some of the systems...

Image removed due to owners request. *admin*

And his implementation of a "Chop" system... or possibly a "Chop II" system... (it's not clear, he claims to have both)... (built in November)

Image removed due to owners request. *admin*

Which he claims can grow Barramundi

Quote:
as a spring/summer fish in Aquaponics, but care does need to be taken that the tank is shaded through the hottest part of the summer, and possibly even insulated at the ends of the growing season to retain the heat.

And that you can stock...

Quote:
with up to 100 Barramundi at a time, but personally, i’ll start with much less than that, maybe around 60.

And that with a "Chop" system...

Quote:
By adding a timer with a 15minute on/off switch, it really saves on power consumption

And wait for it.... yep... he offers "customised Aquaponics systems, for home, or commercial use."...

And in January next year... yep... he'll offer to train you in aquaponics and show you how to build an IBC Chop system...

When I suggested to him that perhaps he should really look into aquaponics a little more before he thought he was qualified to stage workshops.. or offer design in "commercial systems"...

He replied...

Quote:
it takes enterprising people to move things forward, and I am not happy with the current design, or the inflated pricing model of available Aquaponics systems. This is what I have set out to change.

Do not mistake me for bring ignorant. I am quite capable, and able to pull this off, and no doubt you will see things come out of WA, that will change approaches to home Aquaponics

And here's one of his other "systems"... that presumably shows just what he means...

Images removed at owners request. *admin*

And as he says in his "Our Aims"...

Quote:
Not only will our systems provide function, but they’ll look great as well. We aim to design unique Aquaponic & Permaculture systems that get noticed, not hide out the back of your house.

Sweeet system!... I think you're being a little harsh Rupe!

I especially like the use of creosote impregnated sleepers around and over the top of the fish pond... :thumbleft:

...and the use use of the new breed of "aquatic" corn plants!... Visionary!

And being a man of impeccable "green" ethics.... he cut the copyright credentials out of Sylvia Bersteins "Aquaponics Cycle" diagram that he ripped off...

At least he has built a system. There are plenty of people out there offering services that can't even find a picture of one of their own systems so they have to rip all the pictures from the internet.

hope the water doesnot run off the treated pine trellis too much or he will have to send off bits of fingernail for analysis.I would not mind having his sleepers though
