That would be a couple of hours, along the turnpike.

Are you going to be in the area for the holidays?

If you have to walk on any of the wood it will be slippery from the condensation and even more if a biofilm forms on them - be careful. Used to have a cedar wood path in a greenhouse and I would have been flat on my back a few times if there weren't benches on either side.

Ok!

If you like Harleys Gettysburg is a good riding area, and the H-D factory is in York if you'd like to tour the factory. Gettysburg has Bike Week the weekend after Memorial Day and they have a parade with thousands of motorcycles.

http://www.gettysburgbikeweek.com/

Edit: looks like they've canceled the parade this year. We will likely have moved by then anyway.

Also there are car shows at Carlisle too throughout the year:

Mylar emergency thermal blankets came and I stapled three up on the back wall on Sunday. Put the rest in the cars just in case! Thanks to TC for the tip - super cheap and effective insulation and super light bouncing properties, I'd like to line this stuff around any in-ground containers in the future.

Got more boards to make a 2' walkway and will hopefully get those in this weekend but it's busy this time of year of course.

Well the mylar is only really helpful in the light bouncing and the bouncing of radiant heat. It won't help against the biggest heat loss really, there is no real R value to it. But it's a great way to have more light cheap (far cheaper than the mylar at the hydro shops.)

The back wall is right up against the garage wall so it is protected already, and you can feel the heat coming off of it (me).

Dang it, I have that "Cashtown Greenhouse Eight Feet Long" song stuck in my head now.

Keep us posted on temps inside the GH compared to outside temps. And now that you have the plastic on, watch for whiteflys.

OK, it's actually about 9 1/2 feet long. Some sun today so should warm up for awhile today. Haven't seen danger of frost in the GH despite the overnight temps going into the 20s, but we'll see what happens when things really get cold. I hope to sprout stuff in the inside system and move them outside once they're up.

Yellow sticky traps against white flys (can make them yourself with yellow paper and some tree tangle foot, as per Rob's videos.) Blue I think is supposed to work against thrips. Then again you climate is probably half way between robs and Decals by JT.

Got the walkway put together, varnished and drying out in the driveway. Also got a second layer of plastic on the front wall.

LOL threw a bunch of random seeds into the net pots, had such crappy luck with sprouting this Summer that I'll take whatever comes up.

Tried the marine battery with the used UPS, the UPS immediately goes to overload mode so I guess it's trashed. Going to get a 12v relay like folks use on here instead for the backup. I already have a charger and inverter.
