If you do use blue barrels, I'd recommend cutting them horizontally instead of vertically, so you get deeper, more stable beds that don't need as big a rack system. Like these from OutbackOzzie (right? Damn, I've been gone too long):

Yep, this was OBO's.

Look I'm not to sure on Paint even water based stuff..

I do know that a few other have used container with dome weird stuff in them.. All you can do is Ask.. and then go from there..
-- I think I remember someone using Bleach in a container and leaving it to Soak in the Sun for a few weeks..

Personally This is what I did for a set of IBC's that contained Clothes washing Liquid..
- Pressure wash..
- Fill the IBC with water and add PP, Drop in an Air-stone and let sit until the water goes Brown[PP full reacted]
- Pressure wash again..
- Fill with water and let it sit in the sun for a few Weeks..
- Drain the system and give it a pressure wash and the smell test.. If it smells clean it should be Good[Depending on your nose]..

That is what I have Done..

On a Personal front I have a Supply of Food grade IBC and they still get a Similar clean out..

Made these using SketchUp. Could not figure out how to load them directly to photobucket, so snapped some pics of them with my cell phone. Hopefully this will give a better idea of my plans. The entire structure is now going to be 40 feet long by 14 feet wide. Grow beds on the sides are 40'X2', and the center grow bed is going to be about 30' feet long and 4' wide. Fish tank is going to be 1550 gallons. Should be getting the fish tank in a couple weeks and will have it in the ground as soon as I get it.

The top of the concrete is going to be at ground level, so the bottom of the fish tank is going to be almost 10 feet below the ground level, the top of the fish tank is going to be 4 feet below the ground level.

I was hoping to have the fish tank in the ground by now, but over 4 inches of rain has put me behind schedule, and now the tractor is stuck in the hole. Hoping to pull it out this morning, if my truck won't do it, than I need to call in some favors.

This pic was after I was working at it for a while. The water was almost all the way up to the ledge that is 4 feet below ground level.

Waiting on the sun to come up then will try to pull it out.

Just got it pulled out, the Nissan Titan did it. Wife drove the truck and I drove the tractor. I had a hard time sleeping last night with my 35k dollar tractor stuck in that hole. If it had rained I would have been in trouble.

I had to look up what a Nissan Patrol was.

It has the 5.6 liter V8. I think just over 300 hp. I had some better tires on it, but the gas mileage was horrible, so put some all terrains on it. They don't do nearly as good as the mud tires.

Nice looking truck, what engine does it have?
