Hi everyone! My name is Isaac and I'm from San Francisco, California. When I was in college my roommate and I had a little aquaponic system set up on top of our fish tank. Now that I'm done with school I want to try something a bit bigger. A friend and I are going to set up a couple of systems for his house and my house and I'm getting excited at the prospect of playing around with water tanks, PVC pipe and everything else that comes with building AP systems. I'm thinking they will use a 100gal fish tank and 4 beds will bell siphons made out of halved 55gal barrels. Wish me luck! :mrgreen:

Welcome to the addiction, it only gets stronger from here. So what are you plans for after you finish the small system? (that is what I predict the 100 gallon tank will become, your quarantine system. :wink:

The addiction... yes. I can already feel it surging through my being :wink:. I got three 55 gallon tanks for free along with a bunch of lumber and there have been some free bathtubs posted on craigslist... if all goes well the only thing I will need to pay for will be my PVC pipe/fittings, the water pump and the fish.
