Jeez...dont check my thread for a couple of days and its over run by FERRETS!!!!

They are very cute thou Snow. Is it true they are smelly? Ive always wanted a ferret.

Thanks for moving support guys, we have found a place and applied so should find out this week. The missus just shook her head when I walked straight out the back during the inspection to check out the available grow bed area hehehe.

Hey Charlie, I'm a newbee to aquaponics and I'm looking to set up my first system - should be fun! I live in Kal also and just wondering if you still have access to some IBC? Cheers, Gav.

They are only smelly if you, don't get them de-sexed..

The females you need to get de-sexed unless you want to breed them.. Trust me Don't.. you can get over run with Ferret's..Biggest Litter to date -13 and they all survived.. That year I had 30 Kit's to re-home..
Never again.
- IF the females are entire and are not breed they get hormonal Problem's which cause their blood to become toxic.. so that is the main reason for getting them de-sexed..

The Males also should be de-sexed.. they come into season and really stink.. you can tell if I have been in the Palace and have played With my 2 smelly boy's..

If you have them de-sexed they have a slight musk smell not to overpowering..
- Wash their bedding or just replace it every 2-3 week's..[I raid the op shop for Rag's that the can't sell..]
- Clean up their mess every day or few day's..
- Don't Bath them to remove smell, they just get worse..

So their not to bad..
the front of their cage needs to be planted out with tanzie to help keep the flies away.. and have to find a nice smelling plant..

Due to the move I have pulled out the elder yabbies from my shed tanks for a sunday dinner. Some of these boys have been in my possession for a couple of years now.

Staring into the camera. They are so well behaved, wish my kids were this well trained.

There are many types of freshwater crayfish in TL, so I guess I have tasted something very similar, never been to Oz though.
On my list of places to go... One day.
Perhaps when your next batch are that big, I'll come knocking on your door, hehehe.
