Noticed an AP video on Utube and picked up their details in the vid. Some of the images look rather familiar, not sure if this crowd has been mentioned before...

*Edit - Take a look at their video on the front page... basically incorporates everything good (and commercial) from perma & aquaculture + AP. Will it ever be built, that is the question.

I don't know if "organicaquaponics" is owned by him... but the training course is being run by "Max Meyers" of Norcal Aquaponics...

Quote:
Max Meyers a Certified Permaculture Teacher, Designer and consultant. He is the executive director of the Mendocino Ecological Learning Center (MELC) and runs a Permaculture consultation business.

Max Meyers

Mr. Meyers is a certified Aquaponics system designer and in the creator of truly self sufficient Permaculture based Aquaponics systems he calls "Meyers Systems".

He's a "certified aquaponics system designer"... eh.... self appointed of course....

And in all the time he's been around... he's only posted two "projects"... one at a high school... the other at the location where he's offering the "course"....

http://norcalaquaponics.com/projects.php

But that's what he's really on about... training opportunities...

Yep, I was being sarcastic ;)

Here's the video I watched where I found out about Organicaponics/Green Society: http://youtu.be/tX3hELqzm1Y

Do these people think that because people are into sustainable/organic/free-loving/spirituality/<insert latest buzzword/new age or other here>, that IP is freely available and allowed to be lifted/scraped/stolen and used wherever they see fit? :flower:

Its OK! They haven't stolen or copied the images! They are using them from the BYAP Web Server.

Here is an image tag from their source:

<img src="http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/images/stories/webpagestuff/fishlettuce.jpg" alt="fishlettuce" width="400" height="254" />

Which means that when you view the http://www. organicaponics .com/why-aquaponics/ website they are 'stealing' bandwidth from BYAP.

In fact - looking at the HTML behind the two sites, all they have done is view source, copy and paste.

Isn't that how all web devs/designers code these days? ;)

You have to love the balls (or shiver at the thought) of statements like this: "All of our efforts will result in building temporary and/or permanent Intentional Communities, that are owned and managed by the Green Society Ministries." - from the Green Soc's site.

*Edit - here's another 'Ctrl-c, Ctrl-v' webpage... http://www.greensociety.co/aquaponics/

And don't you love the fact that they put a copyright at the bottom of their pages..... :?

That video says that their 49,000 Gallon system will produce 15,000lb of fish a year and 160,000 lb of veggies, and it only uses 300W a day... They must be doing things no one else can..

A corporate "hippie".. with a new age scifi messianic ministry complex....

Or probably just more like, a tax evading, buldger that couldn't hack being on the dole.. because he wants the trappings of capitalistic society... without the mundane humdrum and work ethic that's required...

Damn this logo is popular!

Time to copyright the living daylights out of it! Or maybe create a new logo - but it's been said that to be copied is a form of flattery...
