The big ones are already dead. They are the first to expire when temps get higher.

Hmm Friday night rhymes :)

you could dig a long trench and bury a pipe(s) in it.

running your water though this should cool it down to the average yearly temp.

the trench would have to be deep though. A few m down the temp should be about 14 degrees for Kalgoorlie.

just a thought...

Needs to be about 2m deep and many hundreds of metres in length to become effective.

great thread OBE, almost a days work just to read it all let alone the amount of work it would have taken to do it. Did you sell any produce from the growbeds? or was it given away for "free" like the fish? Curious to see how much was produced from the GB's compared to what could be produced from an experienced soil gardener in same amount of space (obviously with much more water) maybe?

It is going great, have been extremely busy due to the fact that no one employs apprentices any more, therefore tradesmen are in demand :)

Looks the same as previous, nothing has changed. 100% reliable.

If you like this thread have a look at my old house system.

damn, that horrible empty feeling when you read through a thread from start to finish and you finally catch up to where everyone else already was.

nice thread, nice system. but im sure someone else has probably already said that somewhere in the last 56 pages :D
