Our chicks are cuter at hatching Charlie, they are pure fluff balls  The budgie reminds me of our galah when we first got him. LOL His name is Charlie, :) he has escaped more than once, but I caught him when he fell out of the tree, He doesn't know how to fly very well and I think he is scared of heights. He speaks well "have you fed the fish", "don't forget to shut the gat", "do you want a drink of wine"?

Good guess Mantis :)
Charlie pinch out the centre to stop it flowering but they can be stupid things to grow as hot weather sees them bolt. My Charlie is the jealous type and tries to attack my husband when he gets too close. Yeah he is good looking.

Chuck some pine shavings in the nest box and when its a couple weeks older replace it with seed. Gets them eating and growing quicker. I reckon princess parrot chicks are the ugliest going haha

Re those Pak Choi,
In the backyard (dirt), with all the diff. asian cabbagey things, nipping out the centre as Faye says deals with the flowering and we harvest them continuously by taking the lower leaves instead of pulling the whole plant. Yes they end up ugly with a long stem and weird looking 'crown' but the harvest is over a longer period, theres no glut or need to refrig. and in AP they will continue to take out nitates while sheltering the next lot of seedlings under them so there is a nice overlap of nutrient consumption.
Nice pics of the garden and trout and I look forward to the yabbie ball breakthrough..

The re-modified breeding tank 2. I have 3 of these in action, the forth has become the chilly tank for "terry the trout" that some of you may already know about. So only 3 active yabbie breeding tanks.

Never really posted pics on this so thought it was about time. This is the most recent (cleaner) tank 2 with todays couple, you cant see the female too well as she was hiding protecting her young. My young fella helped out with directions.

So you snuck up behind her, bagged her, took her home and stuck her in your fish tank... Gees she must be a good sort, most women wouldn't like that much... :D
